For outside mounts, mount brackets and install track only. Stack the vanes within reach of the window and leave the valance for last. Install the sheer with the steps explained below. For inside mounts, mount the brackets through the valance into the jamb or ceiling. Install the track only and stack the vanes within reach of the window. Install the sheer following the steps below.

Starting with the second vertical slat (see fig. 1), insert it into the second receiving pocket of the sheer and then attach it to the track. The stem of the carrier should slide through the gap in the sheer and attach to the vane. Continue this procedure until all but the first and last pockets of the sheer are attached to the track.

Next (see fig. 2), for the first and last slats, the receiving pockets of the sheer are slighting different. The sheer will totally enclose these slats. If the stem of the carrier does not slide through the sheer and attach to the vain, the slat is not inserted into the pocket correctly.

Finally, after all the tops of the slats are inserted, place the bottoms of the slats into the corresponding spaces in the bottom of the sheer. If necessary, steam out any wrinkles following the care instructions.

Notice: To guarantee proper closing of the split draw (center opening) Vert-a-Sheers, the tabs are sewn into the material at the top of the sheer. Make sure to identify the tab on each half of the sheer and install the sheer so that these tabs are facing the center where the Vert-a-Sheer opens.
